DIVE INTO THE HEART OF CAPOEIRA IN PARIS:
A JOURNEY OF BODY AND MIND
Warm-up: Awakening the Warrior
The first stage of our classes is crucial: a two-phase warm-up, carefully structured to “wake up the body”. We start with dynamic cardiovascular exercises designed to get your blood flowing and raise your body temperature. This activation is essential to prepare the body for the physical challenges ahead.
After that, targeted stretches are included to improve the flexibility of your joints and muscles, reducing the risk of injury. This moment is fundamental to bring body and mind into harmony, and to make sure you are ready to tackle the technical side of Capoeira with agility and safety.
Learning and Technique: the fundamentals of Capoeira
After the warm-up, we dive into the heart of Capoeira, starting with the basic movements that are the very essence of this practice:
- The Ginga, the fluid basic step that is the backbone of Capoeira
- Movement and footwork, including standing and floor movements for maximum mobility
- Defensive movements, essential for dodging attacks
- Attacking kicks, straight and circular, which are both an art form and a fighting technique.
The Roda: the ultimate expression of Capoeira
The high point of every class is the roda, a circle formed by the participants where fighting, dance, music and singing come together. It is in this space that everything you have learned comes to life, allowing you to practise Capoeira freely and expressively while immersing yourself in its rich musical tradition.
Beyond Capoeira
From time to time, our classes are enriched with other facets of Brazilian culture, such as Maculêlê, Puxada de rede, Capoeira Angola and Samba de roda, offering a complete view of this multidimensional practice.
Join us in Paris for a unique Capoeira experience, where every class is a step towards mastering this spectacular art, in a supportive and caring atmosphere. Our school is dedicated to passing on Capoeira in all its diversity and integrity.
